Here fishy, fishy!

Jason and his lovely father Joe, decided to take me on my first fishing adventure.

We headed to Garibaldi, Oregon, just outside of Tillamook on Tuesday!

We spent the night and woke up at 4:30am found some breakfast and had to report to the office

at 5:30am, for a 6am departure.

We all hop on board, and start our cruise 22 miles outside of the harbor.

Pretty much right in front of Cannon Beach!

It took me a few tries, but I finally figured it out.

We went fishing for Rock Fish, and Ling Cod.

I caught a total of 5 Rock Fish, and 1 Ling Cod.

Overal, the 3 of us caught 21 fish.

19 Rock fish, and 2 Ling Cod!

On our way out, we dropped 6 crab pots,

and picked them up on the way back.

After we got back we headed to the dock, and they used a crane to

get all of the fish, and crab out.

We unloaded, got in the truck and went around, and waited while

they gutted and trimmed all the fish.

And the whole boat divided all the crab evenly

so they cooked our 6 crab up for us.

Put it all in the cooler and headed for home.

We're all a little sunburnt in the face, and tired.

On the boat for a total of 9 hours, and I didnt get sea sick!

& I caught the two biggest fish on the whole boat(:

It was a blast and an experience I will remember forever!

And now to cooking some fish for dinner!

Camping

On thursday after I got off work we headed to the Wenatchee National Forest

to go camping with a few friends of Jason's for his friends birthday!

As much as I love being in the comfort of my house all day, everyday

it was a good change of pace to get out in the outdoors!

To say the least we had fun!

Overall it was a great fun trip for all!

RJ had the time of his life!

But we're still trying to get tree sap out of his coat!

Although it was fun, we finally got back around 8pm Sunday night

and it was great to finally shower!

Mothers Day

I honestly can say,

I don't know what I'd do without my mom!

Words can't do justice for this lady!

Even when growing up, all my friends loved her, and wanted to come over.

Lunch Bunch every week was perfect, and she loved seeing and talking to

all of the teenagers who filled her house!

She does it all!

Always ready for some Gamma time!

And loves being around all of us, no matter how

cranky we can get!

Always up for an adventure, even when scared!

And one tough cookie!

As much as I've put her through alone, she still loves me,

I don't wanna get all mushy and start crying like I'm about to.

But she's helped me realize more in my life than I think she knows.

She's led by example, and help shaped me into being a

great mother, wife, housekeeper, and advise giver that one day,

 I hope to be at least half as good as she is!

She's been through a lot in her life, and always pushed through.

One day I hope to be as strong as she is!

On the Road

Lately we've been quite busy.

Driving around from town to town on fun little day trips,

In between my work shifts of course!

First we found ourselves in Seattle for a quick little trip to Jason's friends office,

For a little business.

We found ourselves at the

Metropolitan Grill.

Probably one of the most expensive places I've ever been..

Including the HUGE steaks..

& Of course the boys got the 38oz. porterhouse.

Before that,

they ate, four rolls, calamari, and a huge plate of ceasar salad.

I mean, they thought that was filling enough,

then the steaks arrived.. and they ate it all!!

After dinner, we made it home around 1am or 2am.

And a couple days later we go to Portland,

to pick up some parts for new incoming race car.

And we stopped at something that the internet said would be

"the best pizza in portland"

We all decided it was the worst pizza we've ever had..

Horrible..

After that, still being hungry, we walked over to..

Voodoo Doughnuts!!

I've never been but they were weird, but delicious!

I got a chocolate doughnut that had peanut butter, and oreos on it!

Yumm, and the boys got a HUGE glazed doughnut, a bubblegum one.

And we had leftovers (:

And the day after that, we were headed outside of Yakima

 to look at camping sites for next weekend.

Come to find out they were all closed, logs covered the grounds.

Destined to find a spot, we headed up the hill.

Stopping at every little turn off in the Wenatchee National Forest.

The higher we got the more snow there was...

To which we decided to go to one off of the side of the road.

Not looking like much snow, we headed off road...

to which we quickly slammed down to the ground..

Stuck in snow..

Remember thinking this was a short trip,

we were all in shorts, sandals, I was in a dress.

After an hour sitting there wondering how I was going to explain to my boss

the next day why I didnt show up for work.

And of course Jason being the problem solver he is, got us out.

We found out that it wasn't a small amount of snow,

it was close to four feet deep!

But after we high tailed it out of there, made it to Minors for some dinner and headed home!

The next day after work we headed to Yakima again,

with a couple of Jason's friends, to the Renagade Raceway Drapstrip.

After watching only one car, Jason got that bug in his pants, and wanted to race!

We watched this Jetcar!

Man that thing is cool!

It's super loud, but it goes super fast!

After 11pm we headed home, while Jason stayed up all night

working on his car, getting it ready to bring to the track the next day!

Worked all night, and all day.

And we finally loaded her up and headed to the track!

Let me tell you, I was already scared about Jason driving over 100 mph in such a short amount of time, knowing something could happen....

And literally the race right before him,

a gentleman gets out of the groove and smashes straight into the concrete wall..

As if I wasn't scared enough as it is...

But his first run, went great.

I thought, I mean, he made it safely and did a good time.

That's all I wanted, him safe!

He did an amazing job, people were impressed with the car.

I mean its a Honda CRX.

Those cars aren't meant to do that length of road in 12 secs!

After three great runs he called it quits,

we watched a few more runs,

 and we packed up and headed home!

Overall it was a great time had by all(:

Every trip is always fun, and an adventure!

Look forward to this coming weekend,

possibly going camping!!

New Toys

These past couple weeks have been filled with fun.

First off, Jason bought a new 20ft. enclosed trailer.

Brand spaking new!

So we  he can tow around all his toys, and work equiptment.

Which brings us to our next purchase..

Three days later, he spotted this lovely beauty,

To haul around the big trailer.

The tahoe was having a hard time, and needed a new home!

So now, this is how he roll...

Not too bad, if I say so myself!

And the weekend after we traded in the Tahoe, a new owner picked her up!

So long tahoe, thanks for the memories, but now we're rollin' in style.

A bigggg style!



Adventure!

As Monday morning started we were debating what to do with our free time!

When Jason got the idea to go take a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory!

It was crazy watching how they send it from one room to another

cutting, pressing, and packaging all the cheese.

The huge blocks come out in small little packages!

We did a small amount of off roading in some paths on the side of the windy roads headed up there.

After watching the fansinating process we went downstairs and grabbed some samples, walked around the store, grabbed some goodies

and headed to the ice cream parlor! (:

Man, it was delicious!

We drove down the way and saw..

Yay! Beachhhhhh!!

So we drove around looking at beach houses at Rockaway Beach!

Walked on the beach for a little bit.

And Jason didnt like the fact that he couldn't drive on the beach!

We headed up to Long Beach!

Let me just say I was not a fan of all of the windy roads!!

Weak stomach, but Jason loved the switchbacks, and curves.

I wanted to stop and write some cute stuff in the sand..

And this was Jason's.

When we stopped to play on the rocks, I turned around once we reached the top,

and this is what I turn back to...

Scared the crap out of me!

The tahoe is going to drowned!

And of course, Jason is the man and got us out of it safely!

We laughed, and made some good memories.

Even caught a couple funny places on film (:

After multiple beaches and loads of fun, we headed back home!

And of course, I slept the whole way home,

 and Jason drove home with music blaring!

We made it home around 2:30am the next day!

From 10am-2:30am the next day is one long day of fun(:
