Of course we got some ridiculous fog!
I was only scheduled to work the morning flight so I could head home and get ready for our trip.
Little did I know that it would end up being such a big deal.
Our flight ended up sitting in the originating city until the fog cleared.
Long story short after a lot of complaining and arguing with passengers,
the plane finally landed around 11am, when I was scheduled to be off by 10am..
Finally left at 12. To where Jason was sitting on the couch waiting for me!
I finished packing and we were out the door by 12:30!
Headed out and had to get gas and Jason forgot his wallet...
So in real truth I think we got on the road around 2pm!
We were honestly worried about the pass because we knew it had been hit pretty hard, and been closed.
But we went anyways(:
This is what it was when we got there!
Clear!
Yay us!
So we plowed on through.
With Jason's new tires on the tahoe it was a breeze!
We got to our hotel and checked in.
Yes I'll admit its not the normal hotel we have stayed at the modern, hip ones.
We stayed at the Edgewater which was still a 5 start hotel just a different feel.
I think Mom and Dad would have loved it!
It was more of a cabin feel!
All of the rooms had stone bathrooms, walk in showers, and fireplaces.
This was our view from our room.
We were right on the water, our balcony was hanging above water!
CRAZY!!
Anyways we dropped our stuff off and headed downstairs to go shopping(:
We hit the streets and I swear went to ever store possible!
I made my biggest haul at
Three floors people! 1, 2, and 3!!
We headed to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory!
It was actually really good.
I've never eaten there so it was better than I thought.
Of course we got cheesecake!
After a few hours we headed back to the hotel.
And saw!
Next morning we took our time waking up and getting ready!
Jason LOVED the fireplace, he kept it on all night long.
But he sat in his robe by the fire, eating his cheesecake, watching Yogi Bear(:
Isn't he so cute!!
Finally we got ready and it was lunch time!
So we headed down to the restaurant in the hotel called 67
It was so pretty! It looks over Elliot Bay.
Lunch was pretty delicious too.
The Raspberry Lemonade was probably my favorite!
After lunch we headed out.
Went and saw the Space Needle!
Haha! The ride up felt like a ride almost and it made me sick!
Once we got to the top although it was foggy it was super cool!
You could see everything!
You are wayyyyy high up there!
I've never really been scared of heights but its just so weird to be that high and not be inside!
After that we did more shopping!
And took my favorite the Monorail
And got some delicious Chocolate at Godiva
and I got make up and Sephora.
And Jason got a new coat from Columbia!
After hours we went back to our hotel room and dropped off our goodies and headed to dinner with one of Jason's friends who lives up there.
Actually the same one who owns the Helicopter Jason took me up in!
We were going to go up again, but it was broken!
We ended up at PF Changs.
It was fun, we talked for hours.
After dinner we headed back to the hotel and I finally got to hop into..
The best bathtub ever!!!
While eating this..
Uhm? Perfection!!!
Haha(:
We got up the next day and packed up, checked out, and headed to Redmond.
Mostly to Carnation and Duval.
Jason used to live up there and his family had farms so we went down memory lane.
Drove aroumd looking at what used to be his stomping grounds when he was young.
Seeing where he used to wake up every morning to feed the baby calfs at 4am before school!
Now it's all gone, their houses, barns and friends homes are all gone and rebuilt on with horse stables and trees. It was really nice to get out of the city and see where he grew up.
Talk about his elementary school, and how everything used to be.
After a while of driving we headed to lunch at Canyons.
And made our way towards North Bend..
where I did more shopping..
And yes Jason wanted me to say that yes I did get down on myself in the dressing room because I tried on 6 dresses and none of them fit right, and nothing looked good! So yes! I was upset!
So, he took me to the candy shop and got loads of goodies and ice cream!
Man, he knows how to cheer me up!
(:
And we made the stop at the summit to check out all the big cabins,
and decided next year we'll have to rent one for the weekend or two.
But we finally made it home!
It was a blast!
And words will never thank Jason for all these perfect little get aways we go on!
Makes our love stronger, just to run away from the world for a few days!
When he works 18 hours straight each day for 4 days straight.
Its nice to have our time.
(:
Thank you once again baby!
