As Promised!

As I had said in previous posts I wanted to do the "brick effect"
in bedroom #1.
aka Jason's office!
So after I finished cleaning the house I sat down with Mater and we taped out some bricks
It slowly came together and I grabbed some paint and tested it out
Just a rough basic idea.
I wanted to show Jason what it would look like
There are so many different options
Leave the dark brown there and do the white lines
Or paint them all white and do cream lines
SO MANY OPTIONS
The wall looks odd now having a small corner done
In the end I think it'll look good
after my test run I'll only do until the blue line probably!
Too much taping(:

After this fun Mater and I took a walk.
He's never really been on a walk so I decided since it was so sunny
WHY NOT!
Well ladies and gents, we have one lazy puppy on our hands
Around the corner he yanked my arm off to....
Yupp!
Lay down...
My thought out loud and in head was..
"Really?!, You're seriously laying down already.
We just left. And I thought I was out of shape"
Aren't puppies supposed to have energy?
Mater. You're such a goof.
But I still love ya!

Saturday Night

We  Jason had the brilliant idea of getting a fire  pit!
We headed to lowe's our new backyard friend just down the street.
And bought us a cool little firepit

Jason and I are a great team when it comes to putting things together.
I remember dad would grab all the pieces out of the box and just say
"oh this looks like it goes here"
And just start drilling.
Jason grabs the tools  I pull out all the nuts and bolts and tell him what goes where
Its a great team effort... Until I read the directions wrong and Jason corrects me.
(:
We stopped off at our other friend Wal*Mart
grabbed marshmallows and chocolate and graham crackers
After dinner sat out by the fire
Perfect Saturday Night

&I couldnt ask for anyone else to spend it with!

The Creative Curse

My latest day off has driven me to my favorite store
HOBBY LOBBY
once again poor Jason is stuck with my annoying creative flow.
I got the idea for something for our house and figured that would be the best place.
Well I intended to get things for our bedroom
(white walls need something)
To which I ran into a unpleasant amount of reasons to purchase anything but.
I for some odd reason am having a hard time with this room.
The only room without fireworks screeching out of the door when opened.
Anyways back at the story.
I quickly had ideas flowing in and out of my head
I looked down and my hands were full to which I had a few thoughts.
A. Consalidate the return carts the employees were using
B. Just put stuff back and deal with the task at hand
C. Go up front and grab a cart!
Too many thoughts with all my ideas;
Which is when I called Jason
....I'm so excited
for what?...
...all the stuff I got
oh for our room...
... Well, not exactly
Where now...
I ended up purchasing blank cardboard letters and ran up and down each aisle
Everything was jumping out at me and couldnt decide.
I finally came up with the idea to put the letters down the bare hallway
To help tie the kitchen and hallway together of course...
All is said and done it ended up with this.

Black..Lime..White

Till another rainy day full of ideas.
Next:
Jason's office. Aka Old Game Room
The optical illusion of brickwork on the walls!
Stay tuned!
(: enjoy the rain!

Memories

Okay, So for all of you who are thinking, "what on earth could this picture have to do with a blog"
Let me explain...
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away in Cortez, Colorado, lived the McGary Family
We had neighbors who owned turkeys....
(you think they're harmless? think again)
I am traumatized forever.
The male and female turkeys would see me and Blaine walking out to the bus stop
and start heckling towards us.
I remember we would walk out the front door, and start grabbing rocks on the way out our long driveway
VICIOUS! Let me tell you.
These things would come after us and chase us.
So we would sit there in the tree throwing rocks at these turkeys until the bus came for school.
I even remember the male turkey coming over and reliving itself on the backporch all the time
and dad going out there with a broom and stabbing at it.
In turn it just flapped its wings and started pooping even more.
So yes, this picture is taken from inside the Tahoe.
At Jason's friends house.
Where I knew I was safe!
So thank you unknown neighbors for the GREAT memories.
